About this light

Six stake-mounted solar path lights for outlining where people walk. Each one has a single warm-white LED, a small solar panel and a rechargeable AAA-size battery, and it pushes into soil or lawn in about a minute with no tools. They switch on at night by themselves and are rated IP65, so rain and sprinklers are not a problem. Because each light is a single LED, think of them as markers: set a line of them along a path, a garden bed or the edge of a driveway and the route reads clearly after dark, which is exactly what you want beside sandstone paving or a crazy-paved path where the pale stone catches the glow. They will not light up a whole path from above the way a floodlight does. Supplied as three boxes of two lights, so six lights in total.

Common questions

How far apart should I space them?+

As a starting point, about 1.5 to 2 metres apart along a path so the glow overlaps just enough to read as a line. Six lights mark roughly 9 to 12 metres of one-sided path.

Do I need tools to install them?+

No. Push the stake into the ground. In hard or dry clay soil, water the spot first rather than hammering the light in.

How bright are they?+

Each light is a single LED, a soft marker glow. The supplier does not publish a lumen figure and we do not quote one. For stronger path light, add spotlights or wall lights.

Can I change the batteries?+

The lights use a rechargeable 1.2 V AAA-size Ni-MH cell. Replacing it with the same type will extend the life of a light that has aged.

How long will delivery take?+

These are supplied direct from our overseas supplier, typically 5 to 12 business days within Australia. Delivery is free.
